'There is a consummate level of musical skill throughout, from Fionnuala Kennedy's banjo picking and singing on Wedding Dress to the wild, fiddle -driven feel of Stamena - courtesy of Claudia Schwab - that it would be both difficult and unfair to pick out a favourite piece'

Twisted Trad and Folked-up Pop with The "Mighty" Craic Addicts.

Jigs and reels inter-woven with their own versions of 1980's electro pop classics and funky tunage from now 'n' then, here 'n' there and everywhere.

The Craic Addicts were formed in 2012 to dynamically play music that can capture the atmosphere of wonderment, humour, irreverence and excitement of the early vaudeville theatre and traveling shows. Songs are chosen from that era to re-imagine folk music classics using an eclectic set of musical influences and skills. A modern take on the repertoire, with all its strong story-telling lyricism, help archive and re-animate these songs for modern listeners with an original contemporary funky folk feel.

Their debut record Breakfast With The Craic Addicts was released in June 2018. Next to their weekly gig at the Swagman Bar/Sligo, past shows included appearances at Xera Festival (ESP), Electric Picnic (IRE), Costa Del Folk (PT), Cáceres Irish Fleadh (ESP).
