Spinning Fires - Roztoc Festival 2026

Never have I been to a festival where the line between performers and spectators dissolved in such a beautiful and organic way. To claim that not every single one of the 1000 and more people present at Roztoč Circus Festival acted as both entertainers and supporters of this mahem of magical happenings would be a matter of impossibility.

At any given moment you would turn your head and witness something spectacular: someone balancing their body on a wooden structure or on top of another body; a body moving upside down, in all directions to a live beatbox performance; objects being juggled through the air on stage, off stage, between the stages and in the bushes ... Fire being spun with mesmerising movements at all hours of the day or the night on the large arena- like fire stage.
It was so very lovely to get to perform my solo show at the tea hut, with people chilling and lying down, having their dinner, a little juggle, dance or balance challenge …. With actual chai being served while I performed the very song. :-) Thanks Tony for the sound and great vibes and my slovenian gang for providing a backing choir from the front row <3
I also loved the vinyasa yoga flow class early in the morning (even though I nearly died, hahaha!), dipping into aerial classes, chilling at the psyCare area and watching everyone exchanging skills, attending master classes and working on their crafts.
Then of course there was an epic performance by czech band Tygroo; jump dances down in the bunker until the wee hours of the morning (how could we not!), the Renegade Open Stage with all sorts of outrageous madness and genius going on, with the best live DJ and sound effects <3
Not to forget an actual wedding happening one of the days at midnight, with the festival director himself acting as the celebrant Jesus ... or the yodelling shoe clapping session at the pizza stand in exchange for a free pizza :-)
