NCH Dublin this Saturday, 2pm!

I'm over the moon to be able to let ye know that THIS weekend, on Saturday, October 2nd at 2pm, I'll have my debut gig at the National Concert Hall in Dublin as part of the "Tradition Now" series! It was back in 2019, before our lives got turned upside down and time stood still for a while, that I was commissioned to write "Ón Sliabh - Vom Berg" for the National Concert Hall in collaboration with Sounding the Feminists.

The piece is, I think, inspired by my own experience of our first lockdown here in Sligo. I spent a lot of time near the Knocknarae mountain from where Queen Maeve looks over us, perhaps drawn to her protective force, looking to ground myself in these difficult times ...

Alongside some Jodlfunk and other things we will be premiering the piece at the Concert Hall on Saturday and I couldn't have asked for a better gang of musicians that will be with me on the day: Niwel Tsumbu on guitar, Cathy Jordan on vocals and bodhrán, Claire O'Brien on vocals and Derek Whyte on bass.

For tickets to the show please follow this link

It will also be live streamed, tickets can be purchased here
